The holiday season means some much needed time off for stressed-out employees. How much time off does your firm give — and how does it compare to other companies?
According to the Bureau of National Affairs annual Year-End Holiday Practices survey, over half (58%) of employers are offering workers three or more paid days off this holiday season.
The percentage of firms providing three or more paid vacation days is the same as it was back in the late 90s — the last time Christmas and New Year’s Day fell on a Friday.
Other findings from the survey:
- 24% of companies are giving four or more days of paid holiday leave
- 40% of companies are giving at least two days of paid holiday leave, and
- 2% of companies are offering fewer than two days of paid holiday leave.
