No need to reinvent the wheel to find relief. Try the warehouse.
Shipping costs are more than just what FedEx or DHL are charging these days. The shipping materials you use also contribute to those budget dollars, but may not get the same attention when it comes to conserving cash.
But there are no shortage of ways to save here. A couple to get you started:
- Boxes. There’s probably no reason your company has to spring for boxes emblazoned with your company’s name or logo. You probably don’t even have to pay for blank boxes. Think about buying printed “overs” of cardboard boxes.
- Packaging. You can probably recycle some packaging material: packaging peanuts, bubble wrap, etc. You could also look to another type of recycling … in your recycling bin. Shredded paper makes a great packing material. So you take material you already had no use for and turn it into a money-saver.
But remember: The paper is shredded for a reason, so use caution.
