It’s one thing for a talented Finance staffer to leave your company for a more promising career opportunity. It’s another thing altogether for people to jump ship for reasons like these.
Because the folks over at Office Team understand that employees sometimes have unique reasons for leaving their jobs, they researched the oddest reasons ever for quitting.
Here are four of the standout reasons from the Office Team study:
- An employee left to go and join the circus
- Instead of working for a living, one staffer decided she’d rather live off of her trust fund
- A number of employees couldn’t stand the aesthetics of their workplace and cited things like ugly carpets, the colors of the walls and a tiny lobby as their reasons for leaving, and
- One employee gave his confused employer what he thought was a perfectly logically explanation: There was nothing personal about the move – he just liked to switch jobs every six months.
