It’s always good to see your efforts working on a practical level. That’s why it’s especially fitting that this Indonesian Parliament member may be prosecuted according to the same anti-porn bill that he himself worked tirelessly to get passed.
Here’s the back-story: During a parliamentary debate, Arifinto (who goes by just one name) was captured by a photographer while viewing pornography on a mobile device.
Arifinto, a member of the Islamic Prosperous Justice Party, claimed he accidentally opened an email link, which in turn led to the X-rated clip.
The fact that Arifinto watched the clip for several minutes uninterrupted, however, may discount his claim.
Now the pious parliament member may be subject to the harsh penalties of one of the strictest anti-porn laws in the nation — a law that couldn’t have come into being without his efforts.
