Feds may be asking you about wellness programs
Heads up: Two government agencies want more detailed information about workplace wellness programs – and they may be looking to you for answers.
The Department of Labor (DOL) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) plan to conduct a survey that asks employers to evaluate their wellness program and help them “assess the effectiveness and impact of workplace wellness programs.”
According to the DOL/HHS, 3,000 companies will be selected from a Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. database and asked to assess the prevalence and types of corporate wellness programs they have in place. They will also be questioned about the use of employee incentives.
The feds are seeking approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to launch the survey.
According to HHS, the survey will be completed within 18 months after getting OBM approval.
