Employers impacted by the California wildfires, flooding and/or mudslides have been granted some tax relief from IRS.
Returns due between Dec. 4, 2017 and the end of April are now due April 30, 2018. This applies to:
- corporate income tax returns
- partnership and S corporation tax returns
- Form 5500 for retirement plans and some health plans if the plan can’t get info because a service provider is in the disaster area, and
- employment and certain excise tax.
Where you won’t get a break: W-2s, 1099s, and Forms 1094-C and 1095-C.
