Problems finding and retaining the top talent? You’re not alone
The demand for the top talent is as strong as ever, but finding and keeping those star employees is proving to be a challenge for most firms.
According to a recent study from Towers Watson, organizations are having difficulty attracting and retaining the high-potential and critically skilled employees necessary to increase their global competitiveness.
Almost three in four organizations report difficulties attracting critical-skill employees, and more than half report difficulties retaining them.
What’s it all mean? It means that now it’s more important than ever to focus on what rewards and benefits your company is offering that will attract and keep the top talent.
Health insurance and a 401(k) are obvious components of a good benefits program, but it needs more.
Offer rewards and benefits that will enrich your employees like extra training in a field they’re interested in or other educational opportunities. If you can tailor the benefits to certain departments, they’ll appreciate it more.
