How much are companies spending for business travel?
Wondering how much your peers are spending on their T&E ventures? This report will give you a pretty clear picture.
A recent online study by Replicon found that the average cost of U.S. business travel expenses were:
- $440 for airfare
- $323 per night for lodging
- $65 for taxi/transportation
- $38 for food, and
- $34 for parking.
While these figures can be useful to benchmark against your own company’s T&E spending, it’s important to remember that travel costs vary greatly depending on where your staffers are going. Still, if your numbers are way more than these, you may want to think about reviewing your firm’s T&E practices.
Readers, are these numbers in line with your company’s T&E spending? Let us know in the Comments section.
