How many companies prevent Cyber Monday shopping at work?
It’s Cyber Monday and, depending on your company’s internal controls, employees are either searching for the best online deals or cursing at the sites you’ve blocked. Here’s how your peers are handling it.
A recent Robert Half survey asked 1,400 CFOs the following question: “What’s your company’s policy on employees shopping at work?” and an impressive 60% of finance chiefs said their companies block access to online shopping sites.
Here’s how the rest of the CFOs in the survey responded:
- 23% allow access but monitor for excessive use, and
- 13% allow unrestricted access.
