Which workers are under more stress than ever?
There are plenty of people that believe things are starting to get better. Unfortunately, most managers don’t fall into this category.
One key reason: Managers are more stressed at work. In fact, 30% of managers say they’re more stressed at work today than they were a year ago — according to a recent survey by OfficeTeam.
And many feel it’ll get worse before it gets better — with 28% of managers expecting their anxiety to increase in the next year.
The survey also found that 28% of managers said their stress-levels were about the same as they were a year ago, and 11% said they were lower.
So what’s fueling this increased anxiety? After asking workers to take on increased workloads — often without any additional compensation — for months, managers are likely struggling to keep employees motivated and productive.
Readers, do you agree with these finding? Managers, do you feel like you’re under more stress today than you were a year ago? Share your thoughts in our Comments section.
