But that doesn’t mean their efforts should be taken for granted.
Continue to ask what would contribute to their job satisfaction and try to provide it.
“I hate slackers.”
No crew wants to pull dead weight. Your staffers know who’s performing and who isn’t.
Keeping poor performers drains morale and makes people question the value of hard work.
“I want to respect you.”
It pays to explain your decisions to workers, instead of sending the underlying message, “I’m the boss and what I say goes.”
Explaining your reasons earns their respect – and improves performance.
